The product of eMovements’ is the first electric walker ello.
The core functionalities are: supported and unsupported walking and automatic brake / speed control. An emergency call system is integrated as well. Seniors can walk easier with ello, because they don't have to push the walker which is exhausting especially uphill, on uneven ground or with shopping in the bag. The improved safety enables them to stay mobile and to retain their social life as well as it gives the relatives a good feeling.
Every year in Germany over 650.000 walkers are sold, increasing > 10 % / year. About one third of the walkers are so called premium walkers and we assume that 10 % of buyers of premium walkers are maybe interested in an electric walker . We've started with pre-sale activities last month, such as exhibitions and sales-calls at medical stores. The feedback is great, we've got LOIs and advance bookings.
eMovements is founded by the engineers Max and Matthias and the business economist Ben.
