Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among women (521000 deaths in 2012). Early detection helps save lives. NIRAMAI provides a novel cancer screening solution for detecting early stage breast cancer with minimal human supervision. Our solution is very simple to use. A clinician takes 5 images of the patient using a thermal camera and our machine analytics software automatically identifies cancerous tumours. Unlike Mammography, our solution is non-contact, radiation-free, low-cost and applicable to women of all ages.
In addition to saving lives, our solution is innovative and has a good market potential. Our Cloud based solution uses machine learning and advanced image analytics techniques to enable reliable, early and accurate breast cancer screening. The novel technology behind our solution, called Thermalytics©, has led to 10 US patent applications. Our target market of breast cancer imaging is expected to reach $4.14 bn by 2021.
