Barzahlen is Germany’s largest private payment infrastructure. Customers have the chance to pay bills from various sectors as well as withdraw and deposit money to their bank accounts – easily at a retail shop. Customers trust Barzahlen in the fields of e-commerce, travel bookings and several bills as energy supply, telephone bills and insurance contributions. Moreover, the deposit and withdraw to and from the bank account is possible. Barzahlen is currently available at more than 10.000 points of sale including REWE, PENNY, real,-, dm and Budni drugstores, Telekom and mobilcom-debitel stores as well as the convenience stores Eckert, Ludwig and Barbarino. For the payment transaction the costumer receives a barcode via email, SMS or post which will be scanned at the retail partners´ cash register. The customer has the choice to pay with cash or further offered means of payment. As soon as the payment was successfully made, the client will be notified in real-time by the cash register.
