A B2B(2C) IT-security startup founded in 2016 by the researchers Markus Hertlein (CEO) and Pascal Manaras (CTO) for the markets eGov, Smart City, IAM (staff/user auth.) and FinTech (PSD2).
The product XignQR offers an economical solution for businesses to enable digitalization by providing a modern authentication tool and secured digital infrastructure. The tool replaces the password as the weakest link with security factors provided by the smartphone, such as biometric checks. These protect against hacks, phishing and hardware theft unlike PKI cards.
The security and usability functions are paired with a fully adaptive connection layer using standard APIs and SDKs. Meaning any system can be implemented into XignQR and therefore different authentication processes are pooled into one. Most innovative usage is the eGovernment and Smart City identity for the state NRW where gov-communication, parking, payment, mobility etc. from different vendors will combine into XignQR.
