At DronOSS, we’re committed to making drone missions safer for people, drones and assets by providing appropriate training solutions for drone pilots.
For that, we've developed an Augmented Reality (AR) system for drones, consisting of a small box, equipped with camera and sensors, that we mount onto a drone, and a client software to generate AR on the drone pilot's screen. This way, we enable remote-controlled interaction with virtual elements in real-world scenarios - we call this Remote Augmented Reality.
So, before taking their drones and setting out to fly real missions, drone pilots use our system to train with virtual objects. They fly a real drone around a virtual wind turbine or learn to fly certain maneuvers with help from virtual waypoints that are projected into their real-time video feed.
In other words, we can replace physical training scenarios with virtual ones, this way avoiding harm to people, drones and assets and saving costs for building those scenarios.
