Soil analysis is one of the core practice in agriculture and not accurate and frequent soil analysis leads to high crop yield variability (up to 39%), fertilizers over-use (up to 60%) and loss of soil fertility on a long-run.The current state of the art is laboratory-based soil testing. Such conventional soil characterization is however expensive, leaves farmers with long waiting times for the results, is labor-intensive due to necessary soil sampling and it is highly inaccurate. SMARTCLOUDFARMING technology translates satellite and drone pictures in 2D soil characteristics (digital soil mapping) by direct soil observation.Successively, our cloud based-A.I. combines and processes digital soil mapping, crop profiles and weather and climate data. Our cloud based-A.I. finally returns farming action recommendations aimed at increasing agricultural yields and saves on inputs while protecting the environment.
