In the last two decades, the mailing and parcel shipping industry saw a dramatic decrease in both usage and interest. The digitization of services and goods were a big threat to this legacy method of delivery between people and businesses.
But with the rise of e-commerce came a boom and because of this, the entire parcel, food and goods delivery industry saw resurgence of this basic need.
The problem is that the needs have changed but the thinking and methods of how businesses and people get these goods has not.
Today, we see that 80% of traffic caused in cities is directly derived from delivery services.
In Europe alone, the gasoline/ diesel trucks commonly used to relay these goods account for 6 billion kilograms of CO2 per year. Not only are they responsible for an immense amount of the pollution, they are harming the quality of life of cities and their inhabitants.
Tretbox is here to change that. We have created a new category of vehicle and a system of hubs that will make the city feel closer. We have a solution that is dramatically better; better for the city, better for the planet, better for the drivers and one that is far more viable for logistics companies.
